Sr. Infrastructure Engineer I

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Windows System Architect \ Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for determining our short-term and long-term strategy for server hosting for above store platforms.  This role requires a deep understanding of Microsoft Windows Server, VMWare, and Azure cloud services. It will also require excellent project management skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities:

What does success look like?
•    Introduce new technologies and features that enhance system capabilities, reduce costs, and improve overall service delivery
•    Positive feedback from stakeholders, including IT, marketing, and customer service departments. 
•    Create and maintain a product roadmap that outlines the strategic direction and key milestones for server hosting and VMWare
•    Lead seamless migrations to Azure with minimal disruption while maintaining optimal system performance

Daily Operations
•    Design robust Windows server environments, Azure hosting solutions, and VMware infrastructures that align with business needs
•    Research developments in products such as Windows, Active Directory, VMWare, and Azure cloud services
•    Lead the migration of on-premises systems to Azure VMWare Solution
•    Collaborate with Operations team to define system requirements and develop technical specifications
•    Create and maintain architectural documentation
•    Assist with license planning and financial budgeting processes

•    Be a product champion and frequently share changes/improvements coming to the Windows, VMWare environments and server hosting platforms
 

Minimum Requirements

Education
•    Some college preferred or equivalent work experience
•    Education in business and/or information systems
 

EXPERIENCE (and other qualifications): 
•    Proven experience with Windows Server (2012/2016/2019/2022) and VMware (vSphere 7.x and above) design and administration
•    Strong expertise in Azure cloud services (specifically related to server hosting and IaaS)
•    Experience with Windows File Clusters, Azure Files, and DFS (Distributed File System)
•    Strong understanding of networking concepts, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
•    Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Azure CLI) is a plus
•    Familiarity with storage solutions and backup technologies is a plus

•    Ability to effectively use PowerPoint, Excel, Word to put together professional documentation
•    Positive, flexible, and self-motivated attitude
•    Detail oriented with excellent follow-up skills
•    Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities
•    Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills, ability to take a problem and solve it in a quick and efficient manner
 

Salary Range: $­­114,900 to $120,000 annually + bonus eligibility. This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.
