Senior Data Analyst

We’re looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join our Data Team to help provide insights across the business and provide the foundations to grow the business to the next level.

The Data Team

We’re a small team at the heart of all the decisions Yoto makes. We work in a high-trust environment with a lot of independence. Everyone can contribute ideas and be part of the decision making process. We tackle a broad range of problems, from developing cutting edge data product solutions to maintaining and building data ingestion pipelines, query and orchestration platforms, our work spans across all the key strategic projects throughout the company.

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join our growing Data Team. Reporting to the Head of Data, you’ll work closely with stakeholders across Product, Marketing, Finance, and more, leveraging data to unlock insights and drive strategic decisions. You'll have a key role in scaling our data capabilities, shaping our processes, and delivering impactful analysis that supports Yoto’s mission.

What you’ll be doing:

• Partner with teams across the organization to understand their needs, providing actionable insights to influence business decisions.

• Own end-to-end analysis projects: define problems, gather requirements, analyse data, and present findings.

• Developing our overall reporting capabilities, creating and maintaining dashboards and reports using Lightdash to support self-service analytics.

• Work with Product and Marketing to assess success of features and campaigns.

• Collaborate with the Data Engineers to ensure data pipelines (in GCP/AWS) are optimized for analysis.

• Support in the continued building of our data platform, using dbt to transform raw data into clean, reliable datasets for reporting and analytics.

• Drive adoption of data literacy across the organisation by mentoring colleagues and leading data education initiatives.

• Support strategic decision-making at leadership and team levels, ensuring alignment with Yoto’s goals.

• Be a leader within the Data team, helping it grow, defining standards and best practices as well as sharing knowledge and capabilities

What you’ll bring:

• 4+ years of experience in a data analytics role, with a track record of delivering actionable insights.

• Proficiency in SQL and experience working with modern data stacks. dbt is essential, GCP, AWS are more nice to haves.

• Strong analytical and statistical skills, with experience in data visualization tools (e.g., Lightdash (Highly advantageous), Looker or Tableau).

• Solid understanding of experimentation techniques and statistical analysis (e.g., A/B testing).

• Ability to translate complex data findings into clear, compelling narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Experience in working cross-functionally and building strong relationships with stakeholders.

• Comfortable with ambiguity and excited by the opportunity to shape how data drives decision-making at Yoto.

• Experience working with financial, logistics & ecommerce stakeholders

• Bonus: experience with Python, R, or similar for advanced analytics.

What you can expect from Yoto:

• Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 based on experience
  
• Flexibility: Hybrid working with a choice based approach - we would love you to come into the office as much as possible, with a minimum of once or twice a month. Take advantage of our ‘work from anywhere’ policy to work from a different location for up to 6 weeks every year. Summer Hours policy to use between the months of June and August.
