Your mission? 🚀

As a Senior Software Engineer your mission is to create, evolve and maintain multiple distributed systems that are part of our core services and influence other engineers on the best practices for building first class software.

What are the responsibilities for this role?

• Own complex problems and lead the execution of their solutions.
• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain reliable and secure distributed systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure Yalo remains at the cutting edge.
• Share responsibility for maintaining the operational well-being of the company.
• Collaborate closely with our Staff Engineers to discover new problems and decipher them

Job Requirements

• 7+ years of general experience in the technology industry. 
• Strong experience with Go, Java, JavaScript or other widely used programming languages.
• Strong experience building and maintaining reliable distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge about Cloud Native technologies e.g Kubernetes and Docker.
• Strong knowledge about Computer Science fundamentals e.g Networking, Databases, Storage, etc.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation.
• Strong communication skills in both spoken and written English.
• Proactiveness

Nice to have

• Bachelor's or Master degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 
• Experience with Go and k8.  
• Experience with Event Driven Architecture or messaging systems. 
• Experience with high throughput systems.
