A Little About Us:

Yahoo Mail is the second largest Email provider in the world with a very large number of active users, and thus very high throughput and scale. Digital Transformation is a highly critical multi-year initiative for Yahoo Mail, as part of which, we are modernizing our current tech stack on a public cloud while building new cloud-native components, systems, and tools to support a wide range of core features and functionality. As a result, we need highly qualified engineers to design, build, and manage scalable Mail Infrastructure on the public cloud for a large number of Mail services and components.

A Lot About You:

You are a self-starter with a passion for creating, deploying and maintaining infrastructure components, tools and services on public cloud at scale. You are comfortable working in a dynamic environment, with the ability to adapt to new technologies and learnings, and to prioritize multiple tasks and challenges in order to keep pace with an innovative and changing product and technical landscape. Your strong technical background, innovation and clear communication skills will serve you well in this demanding role, as will your comfort working with our high-energy team.

Your Day:

  • Develop and Deploy large scale infrastructure components, tools and services on public cloud at scale, preferably using Kubernetes-based orchestration solutions

  • Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate the deployment of the infrastructure and services

  • Work seamlessly in an individual and team settings on innovative infrastructure technologies

  • Participate in a culture of learning through design discussions and code reviews

You Must Have:

  • BS/M.S. in Computer Science preferred along with 3+ year(s) of experience

  • Solid experience in cloud Infrastructure

  • Proficiency in Java programming language 

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Structured thinker, excellent communication, interpersonal skills
