Some of the key areas of focus for Engineering X include:
- Developing golden paths for APIs: Making it easier and faster to build, document and maintain compliant, consistent and stable APIs
- Creating highly accessible test environments: Helping engineers continuously verify their code and easily test their integrations
- Implementing real-time processing solutions (including web sockets and eventing): Leveraging web sockets and eventing to provide real-time updates to users and services
- Providing generative AI tooling for engineers: Integrating AI tooling into existing development workflows to improve productivity and efficiency
- Enhancing Xero's internal developer portal: Promoting and enhancing the developer portal to increase awareness and adoption
- Innovating our Mail product: Integrating Mail with Xero products and services to create a safe and seamless experience
