Lead Engineer

Wunderkind is seeking a Full Stack Lead Software Engineer with experience in Golang and familiarity with React.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and inspire a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Work closely with product managers, frontend engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality features and improvements.
• Conduct regular code reviews, providing constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, continuously improving our technology stack and development processes.
• Evaluate where AI can be leveraged to introduce real value into products with generative AI or complex decisioning models.
• Work with and across various teams and product verticles.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in software engineering with at least 3 years in a lead or senior role.
• Experience in backend development using Golang.
• Experience in front end development using React.
• Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Proven experience in leading and mentoring engineering teams, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Experience working in technology startup or equivalent project environments

The base salary range for this role is $190,000 to $215,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each specific candidate; including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, applicable certifications, and geographic work location. This may vary depending on living location and market rate.
