TEAM
The Arene Project Management Office (PMO) fosters tracking of well-defined, well-scoped and well-planned Projects to agreed upon budget, schedule, and quality-driven requirements. The team works closely with Customers, Engineering and Business organizations to coordinate the execution to ship products on schedule, on budget while meeting all compliance requirements (quality, safety, security and privacy). The team provides an unbiased view of the status of the various projects to keep us accountable. The team also monitors the results and measures whether the intended business value was achieved.

You will report to the Manager of PMO, and the role is hybrid - 3 days in office per week.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a team of project managers with domain expertise as well as project management experience.

The successful candidate needs to have deep automotive experience in business/product planning and a good understanding of both the vehicle and software development process.

The successful candidate will be instrumental in coaching and influencing stakeholders to change and adopt new business models and create new innovative software products in mobility, while being mindful of each team's culture, mindset, needs and schedules.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support development, and ensure that a cohesive execution strategy across all stakeholders, is maintained
  • Ensure that issues raised by the customer are owned by the PM and manage the engagement with required stakeholder to drive to resolution
  • Lead the presentation of project status to specific committees
  • Lead teams to develop innovative solutions and products
  • Drive the establishment project metrics dashboards to track progress, issues and risks
  • Chairing working group meetings with clear agendas and outcomes
  • Ensure that meeting minutes and decisions made are properly documented
  • Create standard Project Management artifacts that support development
  • Manage relationships with vendors to improve the level of service delivery solutions
  • Work towards proper customer engagement
  • Work together with Head of PMO in the development of bids and proposal into projects

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5 years + of experience of vehicle product planning and development
  • Experience with automotive business
  • Excel in multicultural environments and solving complex issues
  • Experience with software development practices
  • Hands-on experience working with the following: Jira and AHA!
  • Excellent in creating presentations to report on progress, issues
  • Ownership/leadership mindset and obsession with the mission
  • Bi-lingual in Japanese and English
  • Proven track record in launching products to the market

NICE TO HAVES:

  • Automotive project management certification or equivalent experience
  • Experience with automotive software safety/security/quality
  • Enjoys challenges
