MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
・Currently pursuing an Associate’s, Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree with an expected graduation through to the end of March 2027
※Must be in school until the end of internship program
・Must be available for a 3-month on-site internship in 2025
・Have no more than 24 months of professional full-time work experience in the technology field (excluding internships, research and/or teaching assistant roles, and military experience)
・Overseas Students (Based outside of Japan) who require visa support must meet one of the following requirements:
・The internship program is part of your education and essential for your graduation
・This internship allows you to receive some credit(s) for your education program
・Have Bachelor degree at the time of application
WORKING CONDITIONS
・Start Date: June 1, 2025, August 1, 2025
・Internship Duration: 3 months
・Expected work hours: 5 days (40 hours/week), depending on visa and class scheduling, some flexibility for shorter hours may be available
・Salary Type: Hourly wage

TEAM
Our team is responsible for developing a digital twin platform as part of the Woven City project. Woven City serves as a test course for creating future mobility which will become the norm in the future—a place where we collaborate with inventors from around the world to shape the future of mobility.
Our Digital Twin platform is being developed as a digital counterpart to physical Woven City. By enabling extensive experimentation in the digital realm, we aim to accelerate the development of new mobility solutions. Moreover, the potential applications of digital twin technology extend far beyond digital test courses, and we are particularly focused on its deployment in domains such as manufacturing and logistics.
The members of our team bring a rich diversity of backgrounds, including individuals from Toyota and with international work experiences. The team integrates functions spanning business, product management, engineering, and customer engineering, allowing us to rapidly validate hypotheses and drive our initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct research on one or more of the following topics 1) AI-based agent modeling 2) AI-assisted logic generation 3) Real scene digitization as input for simulation
- Survey and evaluation of state-of-the-art technologies in related field
- Have regular updates session and discussion with team members and present achievements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently pursuing a Master or PhD degree in computer science, machine learning, or a similar major
- Research or experience in generative AI, video understanding, NLP, RL, Graphical models (e.g. GNN), or related subjects
- Experience in software development with Python using ML framework (e.g. pytorch, keras, etc.)
- Strong communication skills in English
NICE TO HAVES
- Journal or conference publications in related fields
- Knowledge or proficiency in digital twin technologies
- Experience with modern development tools and cloud-based environments (git, Docker, Kubeflow, AWS, etc.)
