  • Coordinating with piping, electrical, instrumentation, structural, and project management teams to support integrated project delivery.
  • Reviewing and approving vendor drawings, equipment datasheets, technical bid evaluations, and engineering deliverables.
  • Supporting procurement activities through equipment selection, technical clarifications, and supplier engagement.
  • Providing technical leadership, mentorship, and quality oversight to developing engineers and designers.
  • Identifying, evaluating, and resolving complex mechanical challenges through practical, innovative, and cost-effective solutions.
  • Supporting construction, commissioning, start-up, and operational readiness activities as required.
  • Promoting a culture of safety, operational excellence, continuous improvement, and technical integrity.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Colorado, with the ability or willingness to obtain additional state registrations.
  • 15+ years of progressive mechanical engineering experience within EPC, consulting, manufacturing, industrial, energy, chemicals, or related project-based environments.
  • Extensive experience with rotating equipment, pressure vessels, and major mechanical equipment packages.
  • Strong understanding of process conditions, including pressure, temperature, flow, materials, and their influence on equipment selection and mechanical design.
  • Demonstrated expertise in equipment specifications, vendor package reviews, technical bid evaluations, and engineering deliverable development.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering efforts and effectively engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience providing mentorship, technical guidance, and engineering quality assurance.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and customer engagement skills.
  • Commitment to safety, sustainability, technical excellence, and project delivery success.
