Product Designer - AI Technology

Workster is partnering with an international technology company to recruit a Product Designer specialising in AI technology. In this role, you will design clear, useful and engaging experiences for AI-powered products and services.

You will work closely with product, engineering, research and data teams to understand customer needs and translate them into effective design solutions. The ideal candidate brings strong product design experience, a user-centred approach and the ability to design for products that use AI.

Your Role

• Design user experiences for AI-powered products, features and digital services

• Understand customer needs, behaviours and challenges through research, feedback and product insights

• Translate user and business requirements into user journeys, flows, wireframes and prototypes

• Create high-quality interface designs and interaction patterns across relevant platforms

• Work with product managers, engineers, researchers and data teams to develop and deliver design solutions

• Explore how AI capabilities can support intuitive, useful and trustworthy customer experiences

• Design for AI-related interactions, including communicating system capabilities, limitations and outcomes clearly

• Present design concepts, explain decisions and incorporate feedback from stakeholders and customers

• Use usability testing, customer feedback and product data to evaluate and improve designs

• Contribute to design systems, patterns and guidelines to support consistent product experiences

• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure designs are feasible and implemented to a high standard

• Balance customer needs, business objectives, technical constraints and responsible design considerations

• Support product development from discovery and concept testing through launch and ongoing improvement

• Keep up to date with product design practices, AI technology and evolving customer expectations

Your Qualifications

• Professional experience in product design, UX design or interaction design, ideally within technology or digital products

• Experience designing digital products from discovery through delivery and ongoing optimisation

• A portfolio demonstrating user-centred design thinking, interaction design and visual design skills

• Ability to understand user needs and translate them into clear, practical design solutions

• Experience creating user journeys, wireframes, prototypes and detailed interface designs

• Understanding of usability principles, accessibility and inclusive design practices

• Ability to use research, testing and product insights to inform design decisions

• Experience working collaboratively with product, engineering, research or data teams

• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain design decisions to different audiences

• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and a thoughtful approach to feedback

• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver effectively in a changing environment

• Customer-focused approach and interest in creating clear, accessible and trustworthy product experiences

• Experience designing AI-powered products or emerging technology is an advantage

• Familiarity with prototyping, design and collaboration tools is an advantage

• Awareness of responsible AI, privacy or relevant regulatory considerations is an advantage

• Fluent English, both written and spoken
