About the Team

The team develops Workday Prism Analytics which is a committed data analytics platform to enable modeling, analyzing, and visualizing extensive datasets, from Data Acquisition all the way through Dataset Publishing and Data Visualization.

About the Role

As a Software Engineer on the Prism Analytics team, you play a key role in the continued success of our products and experiences. You will partner with product managers, designers, architects and engineers to build the backend support for our end-to-end experiences using Java. You will help maintain a high-quality codebase through fixing defects and writing unit and integration tests.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer

• 5+ years coding in Java

• 2+ years leading technical & functional discussions
   

Other Qualifications​

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

• Experience working with multi-functional teams & leading meaningful features with a strong focus on non-functional requirements (scalability, performance, monitoring, maintenance, security, etc.)

• Validated understanding of writing SQL queries

• Superb interpersonal skills with ability to articulate sophisticated technical ideas

• Experience with microservices and REST APIs

• Experience working with streaming technologies such as Kafka, Flink, Spark Streaming, etc.
• Experience working with modern tools for observability, e.g. Solas, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, etc.
• Experience with system integration through APIs, e.g. SSO, SAML, etc.
• Good communication skills with ability to articulate sophisticated technical ideas
• Excellent curiosity and ability to learn new things fast.

Workday Pay Transparency Statement 

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things.
