About the Role
- Work in a highly collaborative environment on a team that builds products that support the organization's software development lifecycle.
- Lead, coach, and strengthen a team of 6-8 engineers of various backgrounds and experience levels.
- Apply your experience to encourage and foster a team culture featuring open communication, teamwork, high standards, and a growth mindset.
- Own recruiting and hiring activities as the team continues to scale
- Encourage innovation to come from anyone at any time.
- Understand business strategy and goals, translating those into meaningful objectives and key results which are supervised to completion.
- Collaborate with fellow managers as an active member of the organization's engineering management team.

About You
- 5 years of experience leading software development teams and handling complex projects
- 8+ years modern software development experience, preferably Java and experience delivering high quality software products
- Passionate about software development and building a strong engineering team
- Strong organizational skills. Experience in planning and execution of software development projects. Exposure to agile development methodologies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong ability to coach and mentor developers and solid experience recruiting and team building
- Experience working with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus
- BS in Computer Science, related fields, or relevant experience

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things.
