About the Team
At Workday, the Community Engineering Team supports the collaboration and content website for our customers. We build the architecture design and develop new features, improvements, and major technical initiatives for all components of the community platform. We care for code through the entirety of the Software Development Lifecycle: Design, Develop, Test, Deploy. Our Development Engineers, QA, and Dev Ops Engineers collaborate with Product Managers, and partner teams to understand requirements and deliver value to Workday's customers.About the Role
As a P3 Software Development Engineer member of the community development team you will be responsible for:
Design, Develop, Code, Test, and implement software
Leverage next generation technologies to enable a quantum leap in the customer/partner journey within the Workday ecosystem
Drive technical discussions to arrive at maintainable, scalable, and performant technical solutions for our business use cases
Build high-quality, robust features; own development for features of medium to large complexity.
Work in an agile development environment, coordinating with other internal and external teams to help ensure proper workflows throughout the entire app experience.
Work closely with a distributed team of developers and quality engineers on the design and implementation of features.
Exhibit a level of technical leadership needed for future growth.
Provide accountability and ownership for all task assignments.
Write well-crafted, well-tested, readable, maintainable code
Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and distribute knowledge
Share your knowledge by organising lunch & Learn tech talks, and promote appropriate tech and engineering standard processes
About You
You Must have qualifications:-
Degree or equivalent experience in computer science, information systems, engineering, information technology, or related field of study.
7 years of proven track record in object Oriented Programming and Core Java.
Must have knowledge of Spring Boot,Adobe Experience Manager(AEM) and AWS .
Should have a good understanding of SOLID design principles and Basic Design Patterns.
Good understanding of RESTful design principles and patterns.
Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL database implementations (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.)
UI development experience such as React, Typescript/JavaScript, HTML, (S)CSS.
Good Problem solving skills and BDD and TDD development principles.
Good to have experience with adaptable UI patterns and construction.
Should have product development experience and working experience in SAFE Agile Framework
Phenomenal teammate and willingness to explore and implement new trends.
Good to have qualifications:
Content Management System like Drupal setup, configuration, development
Good to have Experience with COVEO or Other Search technologies.
Good to have working knowledge of Kafka, SNAP, Salesforce basics.
Good to have experience with adaptable UI patterns and construction.
Git and or equivalent code management / version control standard methodologies
Understanding server and client-side security requirements
