DevOps Engineer - SRE focus
Location: SWE - Gothenburg
Remote Type: Hybrid (8 days/month)
Time Type: Full time
Job Description
This role is primarily focused on site reliability engineering (SRE) and operational support of customer-facing applications hosted in Azure This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with hands-on experience in mature software engineering and a DevSecOps environment to make a direct impact on the reliability and performance of customer-facing systems. As a DevSecOps Senior Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting and maintaining customer-facing applications in production environments, and operate, maintain and improve our existing Azure-based cloud platform.
In this role, you will work closely with engineering teams, Cloud Operations, Security, and other key stakeholders to ensure the reliability, performance, and stability of our customer-facing cloud applications.
Your primary focus will be on operational excellence within our Azure-based platform. You will play a key role in maintaining and improving system reliability, troubleshooting production issues, and driving automation to reduce manual effort and increase efficiency. This includes working with infrastructure as code, supporting and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines, and optimizing monitoring and alerting practices.
Rather than building systems from scratch, you will operate within established enterprise frameworks and standards. Success in this role comes from your ability to understand complex environments quickly, identify improvements, and implement pragmatic solutions that enhance system performance and resilience.
You will be involved in activities such as:
- Supporting and troubleshooting cloud-based applications in production
- Automating operational processes and reducing manual workload
- Managing and improving infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Monitoring system performance and contributing to reliability improvements using SRE principles
- Collaborating with development teams to resolve incidents and improve platform stability
This role is best suited for someone who enjoys working in a production-focused environment, has a strong problem-solving mindset, and is comfortable operating within a structured, enterprise-scale setup.
You will join an experienced, globally connected team and work with proven cloud solutions already in production. From day one, you can leverage existing best practices while contributing through automation, improved monitoring, and AI-supported troubleshooting to reduce manual effort and increase efficiency.
