Your Day-to-Day

As a Software Engineer at Wizeline, you will advocate for the use of cutting-edge technology to build intelligent and scalable products. You will act as a technology partner for our clients from inception to completion while architecting reusable front-end systems. By understanding their needs and translating requirements into world-class design, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality applications.

Partner with multidisciplinary teams located across the world (Technical Writing, User Experience, Product Management, and Project Management) to solve challenging problems. As a relationship builder with direct communication with stakeholders, you will also drive internal initiatives and objectives.

Must-have Skills

To be successful in this role, you need:

● Good verbal & written skills to interact, build and maintain effective relationships with peers.

● Strong analytical, problem-solving and programming skills.

● Ability to identify and isolate problem areas within the entire application flow and to investigate the root cause and implement solutions. 

● Self-organized, working well independently and in a geographically diverse team environment in a collaborative fashion. 

● Ability to implement a scalable solution for a new project as well as migration of legacy projects to new architecture. Produce and maintain proper documentation.

● Ability to identify tech debts and code smells while working on a project and to take steps to reduce them. 

● Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field. 

Required Skills/Experience: 

● 3+ years of design, development, and deployment of application software using Java

● 1 or more years of experience in Python 

● Experience with Git, Jenkins 

● Experience writing unit, functional, performance, soak and stress tests and experience writing unit tests using NUnit, Mocha 

● Experience working with Docker or other container technologies. 

● Experience in Linux environment and shell scripting. 

● Write efficient code based on feature specifications. 

● Good verbal & written skills to interact with peers and stakeholders 

Nice-to-have Skills

Some nice-to-have qualities that will further help you are:

● Experience in Continuous Integration & Delivery of applications is a bonus 

● Experience with implementing and deploying applications in cloud-based environment is a bonus 

● Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB, and Aurora offerings of AWS. 

● Experience with ElasticSearch, Lucene/Solr or MarkLogic technologies 

● Experience in logging, monitoring & alerting of applications 

● Experience in Node JS
