Your Day-to-Day 

We are looking for Senior Data Engineers to drive the architectural design, implementation plan, best practices, and testing plans for projects involving terabytes of data, which will serve as the foundation for advanced analytics and machine learning tasks to be performed by data scientists on top of that infrastructure.

Here's what you'll be doing in your day-to-day work:

• Manage GCP infrastructure that supports B2B APIs, that includes monitoring different systems across the services
• Design and implement API based features that work at scale
• Orchestrate and validate batch and real time data pipelines
• Support with production facing issues, troubleshoot and communicate incidents
• Tech communication, our team is distributed and being able to work remotely is needed
• Support week long on-call rotation

Must-have Skills

• Strong General Programming Skills
• Experience with GCP (BigQuery, AppEngine, Logging and Monitoring, Airflow / Composer, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, Cloud Build)
• Able to read and write Scala code (frameworks about HTTP request , akka/http and data pipelines, GCP SDKs, Scio and Apache Beam model)
• Experience with Python as a general purpose language, be able to read, modify and implement scripting and tests.
• Understanding of Distributed Systems and API Management
• SQL and light DB system management
• Advanced English level
• Airflow

This a position based in Barcelona in a hybrid mode (3 days per week at the office)
