Intermediate Backend Developer

Location: Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa

• Working knowledge of Typescript.
• Fundamental experience with databases (especially MySQL/Postgres’s).
• Working knowledge of caching and messaging systems such as Redis, RabbitMQ, and AMQP protocols.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools such as SaltStack or equivalent automation frameworks.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and message-oriented middleware, with experience designing and implementing distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of databases (e.g. SQL).
• Experience with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) (Advantageous).

The Intermediate Backend Developer will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance backend systems and APIs for our iGaming SaaS platform. This role demands a strong focus on building scalable, reliable, and secure backend components, integrating with third-party services, and enhancing existing infrastructure to support rapid growth and feature expansion.
