Graphic Design Team Leader (Non-Gambling)

Location: Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa

• Graphic design team leadership, creative direction, design quality control and brand consistency across multiple portfolios

• Design workflow coordination, job ticket management, task allocation, workload prioritisation and deadline monitoring

• Graphic design and artwork development, creative concept execution, brief interpretation and visual communication

• Print production and pre-press knowledge, including dye sublimation, signage, litho and flexographic printing, and print-ready artwork preparation

• Brand management, corporate identity compliance, design standards, legal requirements and artwork specification control

• Project and campaign coordination, client brief management, design approvals, stakeholder liaison and cross-departmental communication

• Team supervision, staff performance reviews, mentoring, skills gap identification, training and development of junior designers and interns

• Quality assurance, artwork proofing, attention to detail, error detection and final design approval coordination

• Operational process improvement, design file management, stock library maintenance, job tracking and turnaround time reporting

• Problem solving, planning, time management, accountability, customer service, communication and continuous improvement

About Us

To manage the design team in terms of team members meeting daily requirements. To handle all design requirements from conception through to delivery by allocating workflow based on skill set, deadlines and priority amongst the design team. The graphic design team leaders will be tasked with the responsibility of overseeing multiple portfolios. This will include mentoring designers and the Sales coordinators. The team leaders will also be responsible for representing the Design team at meetings with clients and feeding back to the rest of the Design team.
