ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

As Senior Director of Product Management on the Wind River Product Management team, you will take ownership of the Product Strategy, customer use cases and the roadmap for the Wind River Studio Developer suite of products.  The goal of the role is to deliver high value, industry leading experiences.


Reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer, this exciting role will lead a diverse team of product managers to continuously refine the product strategy, to prioritize use cases for the roadmap, to articulate the roadmap, and to socialize a variety of market/industry opportunities and use cases. Working collaboratively with the Industry Solutions team, Field sales team, solutions engineering team, customers and other stakeholders, the Product Leader will define the portfolio of products and industry solutions to build.
 

The ideal individual in this role will have experience in DevSecOps products (e.g. commercialized DevSecOps tooling), experience in delivering products using DevOps/Agile processes, the ability to ruthlessly prioritize, participate in standups/planning, strong analytical skills, strong written/oral communication, customer obsession, best-practice sharing and collaboration, all while showing they can deliver exceptional results over time. This individual will be a strong team leader, be able to cultivate relationships with senior leadership and influence/manage multiple cross functional teams and stakeholders. Critical skills include the ability to analyze new markets to identify opportunities, to create product strategy, portfolio management, driving end-to-end delivery, launch of industry leading products and strong negotiation skills.


Interface & Collaboration

Work closely with engineering teams, customers, partners, executive leadership, and services team, leveraging your technical, analytical, process and strategic skills towards executing high impact value added opportunities. Work shoulder to shoulder with a high caliber engineering team to deliver high quality product. Collaborate with marketing, sales, professional services and other partners to drive revenue opportunities.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Define and own the strategy, roadmap for Wind River Studio Development Portfolio of Products which include customer experience, development tooling infrastructure, development applications, DevSecOps environment, automated testing and digital twin
  • Leverage diplomacy, integrity, and presence to enable you to work effectively at all levels within a large organization
  • Evangelize and drive the product roadmap across various functional teams within Wind River
  • Proactively engage with the customer, actively listen to their challenges, and help craft appropriate solutions tying back to product capabilities
  • Holistically analyze the market opportunity for the AI, Data Analytics and Data in the context of Edge/IoT deployments, customer needs, trends and competitors to determine opportunities for Wind River
  • Define use cases, product requirements and multi-year roadmap for the Wind River Studio Development Portfolio
  • Work shoulder to shoulder with a high caliber engineering team to deliver high quality product
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, professional services and other partners to drive revenue opportunities

 

ABOUT YOU

CORE COMPETENCIES & DEMONSTRATED SUCCESS

  • Deep expertise in one or more of the following technology areas:
  • Familiarity with Agile Development, DevSecOps, Developer user experience design, development tooling infrastructure
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Effective writing skills with the ability to write clearly to explain business and concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, and the ability to translate those skills into a proven track record in delivering successful, award-winning online products
  • Nice to have: Experience with SaaS business models
     

Qualifications/Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years professional experience in a Senior Leadership role within Product Management
  • BA/BS required in Computer Science or related technical degree
  • MS/MBA preferred
  • Demonstrated credibility with customers, partners, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Customer facing and market analysis experience

Compensation                

The annual base salary range for this role’s listed grade level is currently $192,000 to $250,000 plus a bonus for Colorado, New York, and New Jersey residents, and $211,000 to $275,000 plus a bonus for SF Bay Area, Greater Seattle, NYC, and Washington, DC, residents. Salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities of the applicant, and equity with other team members. Employees in this role are also eligible for the following benefits in accordance with the terms of the Company's plans: health, dental, vision insurance, life insurance, flex time off, eligibility to enroll in 401k, and 12 paid holidays.
