Hybrid:
This is a hybrid role. This model requires the ability to work in a hybrid mode from our office in Buenos Aires (1 to 2 times/ week). Our office culture is designed to foster in-person innovation, collaboration, and connection with team members, local and visiting, from other global offices.

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Product Delivery and Engineering team at TELUS Digital. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend solutions using Java and Spring Boot, contributing across the full software development lifecycle. You will work alongside a collaborative, cross-functional team to build innovative digital products that deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot

• Lead technical discussions and contribute to architectural decisions, ensuring adherence to software design best practices

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams — including product, design, and QA — to deliver high-quality software solutions on time

• Conduct thorough code reviews and mentor team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement

• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring system reliability, security, and scalability

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to support efficient and consistent software delivery

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with Java and Spring Boot

• Solid understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful API design, and distributed systems

• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL or MongoDB)

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and CI/CD pipelines

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to thrive in an agile, fast-paced environment

• Excellent communication skills, with demonstrated experience mentoring engineers and driving technical excellence

Bonus Point

• Experience with Javascript (Node.Js)

• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
