The Opportunity

As an Engineering Lead at WillowTree, you’ll be a manager of a highly skilled engineering team building amazing digital products for our clients, and you’ll help them achieve their personal and professional goals. You’ll also drive the team and our clients to use cutting-edge techniques and processes for software delivery, and use your technical prowess to shape the solutions we create. Location and Flexibility

This is a hybrid role. This model requires the ability to work in a hybrid mode from one of our offices in São Paulo (2 times/ week or 8 days/ month) or Porto Alegre (3 times/ week or 12 days/ month). Our office culture is designed to foster in-person innovation, collaboration, and connection with team members local and visiting from other global offices.

Qualifications

  • Have professional engineering experience  —  at least 5 years building digital products, and at least 2 years leading a team;
  • Have professional engineering experience with Mobile app development technologies (Android, IOS, React Native);
  • Have managed a team of software engineers building digital products, and been responsible for growing the people on the team through goal-setting, coaching and feedback;
  • Have familiarity with CI/CD, Agile techniques for managing work, pairing, mobbing, and shift-left testing;
  • Have owned the delivery of a complete digital product, with code that is durable, secure, scalable and thoroughly tested;
  • Can simplify and communicate about complex problems around technology, business processes, user experience and development tasks;
  • Fluent English and Portuguese skills - including written, verbal, and presentation;
  • This role is open to our São Paulo or Porto Alegre office.

This position will initially be assigned to a client that requires a temporary on-call work arrangement. Further details regarding this work format will be provided during the selection process.
