Assistant, Digital Product Operations - Pottery Barn Teen

About the Team
The Digital Product Operations team plays a critical role in shaping the digital customer experience across Pottery Barn Kids, PB Teen and Dormify bringing our brand vision to life through the management of the product page. Our team owns the strategy, execution, analysis and maintenance of the product experience across all three brands. This includes product page management, systems testing, site improvements and optimization efforts that support a stronger customer experience. We partner closely with cross-functional teams across Merchandising, eCommerce, Creative, Technology and Operations to deliver accurate, inspiring and scalable online experiences that support the customer through the purchase journey.
About the Role
This is an opportunity to help shape the digital customer experience for a highly visible and commercially important category. You will work with creative and collaborative partners to deliver inspiring product pages that support customer discovery, category growth, and brand storytelling.
We are seeking a customer-obsessed, analytical, detail-oriented, and collaborative Assistant of Digital Product Operations to assist in day-to-day digital merchandising operations for our furniture category across Pottery Barn Kids, Pottery Barn Teen, and Dormify. This role supports strategy, execution, analysis, and maintenance of the product page, the most valuable page within our site, for this category across the three brands.
The Assistant serves as a champion of the customer experience on the product page, focusing equally on inspiration and information to drive conversion and revenue. This role assists the basket-building strategy, structural playbook, testing, and performance metrics of the product page. The Assistant uses data, customer behavior, and cross-functional input to identify opportunities, reduce friction, and continuously improve the digital experience. Additionally, this role owns all activities within our WCM platform including site builds and technology enhancements.
This role partners closely with Site Merchandising, Merchandising, Creative, UX/Product, Analytics, Technology, and Operations teams to deliver seasonal launches, category optimization, maintenance, and new tech functionality on time and with accuracy.
Responsibilities
Category Execution
Manage the SKU creation and generation of product pages within the designated category for seasonal launches. Own testing in partnership with Site Merchandising and Creative for accuracy. Ensure on-time launch delivery based on careful calendar planning, workflow management, and prioritization.
Maintain the product page playbook for your category including basket-building, image/video strategy, structure, and UX/UI across desktop, mobile, and app. Ensure adherence to the playbook. Partner with Site Merchandising and Creative on changes.
Maintain awareness of customer needs, category trends, competitive activity, business performance, and eCommerce best practices to inform recommendations and execution.
Analytics & Performance Management
Assist in weekly product page performance reporting for your category using analytics and data. Clearly communicate to cross functional stakeholders with insights and actions.
Monitor key product page metrics, including traffic, conversion funnel, product finding behavior, basket building, product recommendations, channel performance, and promotional performance.
Develop recaps and actionable recommendations to the Manager, escalating risks and opportunities as needed.
Customer Experience & Optimization
Champion the customer product page experience and drive optimizations that reduce friction and make the shopping journey more intuitive and inspiring. Execute strategies to weave storytelling and brand building moments into the purchase journey without adding friction.
Participate in weekly site testing. Triage ad hoc issues and perform maintenance updates.
Partner with UX/Product and Technology to launch new functionality, tools, and workflows.
Leadership & Cross-Functional Partnership
Contribute to a collaborative, accountable team environment focused on customer-first execution, accuracy, agility, and continuous improvement.
Build strong working relationships with Merchandising, Site Merchandising, Creative, Analytics, Technology, and Operations partners to ensure alignment and flawless execution.
Criteria
- 1-2 years of eCommerce merchandising or operations experience required.
- BA/BS degree required.
- Advanced Excel skills required; strong PowerPoint and business recap skills preferred.
- Basic web analytics experience required; experience using Adobe Analytics highly preferred.
- Experience using web content management, eCommerce, or site merchandising systems preferred.
- Basic understanding of site merchandising, customer journey optimization, product discovery, promotions, and digital storytelling.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, organization, and project management skills.
- Comfort with AI and desire to continually search for workflow efficiency and optimization.
- Customer-first and passionate about eCommerce, product discovery, and evolving consumer behavior.
- Highly detail-oriented while able to connect day-to-day execution to broader category and customer experience goals.
- Collaborative, agile, and committed to building positive cross functional relationships.
- A practical problem solver who identifies opportunities, removes roadblocks, and drives continuous improvement.
- Good communicator and willing to share a point of view.
- This role requires being onsite in the San Francisco office Monday through Thursday and Friday as optional in the office

The expected starting pay range for this position is $29.00- $34.00/hr. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
