Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled WordPress Web Developer (2+ years) to build bespoke WordPress websites from scratch for international clients. This role requires strong hands-on experience in custom theme development using an in-house boilerplate framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Build fully custom WordPress websites from the ground up using an internal boilerplate framework.
- Convert Figma / Adobe designs into high-quality, responsive front-end builds.
- Develop custom WordPress themes, templates, and functionality aligned with project requirements.
- Create reusable blocks and components following structured development practices.
- Implement styling and interactions ensuring cross-browser and cross-device consistency.
- Configure editable content areas for easy updates by non-technical users.
- Maintain clean, readable, and scalable code with strong attention to detail.
- Troubleshoot bugs, enhance performance, and ensure optimal site stability.
- Deliver work within agreed timelines and communicate progress proactively.
- Follow internal development processes and document work where required.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2+ years of commercial WordPress development experience.
- Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.
- Solid understanding of WordPress theme development, including:
- Template hierarchy
- Hooks & filters
- Best practices
- Experience building WordPress websites from a blank base or boilerplate, not page builders.
- Strong understanding of responsive development and cross-browser testing.
- High attention to detail with a strong “match-the-design” mindset.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
