As a Senior Project Manager at WHOOP, you will drive the development of technical garments and accessories designed for the enhancement of the WHOOP member experience. You will partner internally with both design and technical groups to ensure our Apparel and Accessories are qualified for high performance through comprehensive validation, reliability and in-house testing.  You will partner externally with our suppliers to create and manage schedules that ensure on time, within budget, and high-quality products are created for our members.

This position will be located at the WHOOP office in Boston, with at least 4 days in the office each week.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be an integral member of both the Apparel and Accessory product creation team and the hardware development team
  • Manage fast-paced multi-disciplinary projects from Concept through Launch
  • Develop and drive multiple project schedules simultaneously ensuring delivery within budget, mitigating risk where necessary to meet launch targets
  • Track and prioritize timelines & risks for a portfolio of projects in an organized and methodical way, including the strategic management of product launches
  • Planning and execution of development builds, including tactical management of external partners and suppliers
  • In collaboration with WHOOPLabs, design and execute product testing protocol in order to evaluate the performance and viability of various athletic apparel and accessory items
  • Partner with Data Science and Signal Processing teams to ensure that apparel standards are maintained in the collection of data and signal feedback
  • Lead team meetings and project reviews for rapid development cycles, while remaining flexible and in control in the face of shifting requirements or ambiguity 
  • Provide clear project status and issue tracking reports on development progress to team leads and management
  • Drive critical decisions to closure by bringing together key stakeholders to meet overall project objectives
  • Coordinate parallel path efforts as contingency planning for high risk milestones

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS/BA degree in Engineering or Material Science 
  • 5+ years in consumer products, preferably in the textiles or soft goods space.
  • Experience partnering with technical & non-technical stakeholders
  • Successfully launched multiple projects
  • Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment
  • Impeccable organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills
  • Experienced in creating and maintaining detailed project schedules
  • Self motivated and proactive, demonstrating creative and critical thinking capabilities
This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.
