The team you will be a part of
The Engineering team discovers, develops and evaluates new product ideas, enhancements, or strategic product extensions, and translates research discoveries into usable and marketable products. Leads, plans and tracks all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace. Coordinates with various functions to ensure successful product development and implementation.
This role in summary
The Senior Process Engineer will lead initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes, enhance product quality, and drive operational efficiency. This role requires a deep understanding of process engineering principles, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to work collaboratively across various teams.
Your responsibilities will include
- Analyze existing processes and implement improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
- Lead and manage process improvement projects from conception to implementation, ensuring they meet budget, timeline, and performance targets.
- Utilize statistical tools and data analysis techniques to identify process inefficiencies and develop actionable solutions.
- Work closely with other departments to align process improvements with organizational goals.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation, including process flowcharts, work instructions, and process change requests. Prepare regular reports on process performance and improvement initiatives.
- Provide training and support to production staff on new processes, equipment, and best practices. Develop training materials and conduct sessions to ensure staff are knowledgeable and compliant with process standards.
Minimum requirements
- 4+ years of industrial, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering experience
- BS in Engineering or related discipline
- 2+ years of experience in Project Management
Preferred skills and experiences
- Proficiency in Lean, WCM, or other continuous improvement techniques to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in statistical analysis and tools to interpret process data and make data-driven decisions.
- Experience managing projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring, with knowledge of project management tools
- Familiarity with process simulation software and CAD tools for designing and modeling processes.
- Ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
