Tus responsabilidades incluirán
Whirlpool is looking for an experienced Injection Molding Engineer with a strong background in Plastic Injection Molding operations, Process & Equipment. As part of the Process Transformation Team, the successful candidate will work closely with Engineering, Operations, Advanced Manufacturing and our new product organization to define, coordinate and manage the acquisition of the necessary capital Injection Tools & equipment. .
The successful candidate will be at the forefront of developing Plastic Parts for new appliance products by providing manufacturing early design consultation services, while establishing the early capital budget estimates.
The Injection Molding Engineer will be accountable to acquire and manage the associated capital tooling & equipment for new products from conception through to formal production handoff, including managing installation of acquired equipment.
Also is responsible to generate projects related to optimize operational cost at Injection Molding Process.
As Injection Molding Engineer you will be accountable for supporting new product integration by providing manufacturing expertise to each of the key functions.
Working closely with the primary NAR appliance manufacturing location to define capital purchases.
Specifying through implementation, FPA, and handoff of new injection molds to manufacturing operations.
Working closely with the Advanced Manufacturing Group to ensure that new processes are in compliance with the established Global Bill of Processes.
Leading projects and special assignments as required.
Requerimientos mínimos
What You Need To Succeed
BSME, BSMET or equivalent.
4+ years of Injection molding experience as Process Engineer or Project Engineer.
Bilingual (English & Spanish)
Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Strong interpersonal and team building skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
Excellent project management skills
Ability to translate component GD&T into injection mold designs so that critical interfaces are assured.
Experience in new product introductions, including the direct planning and acquisition of the associated capital tooling & equipment
Hands-on experience working in a heavily automated production environment is desired.
