Join the Digital Workplace service group at Westpac as we seek a talented and skilled Senior Infrastructure Engineer to help shape the future of our Apple endpoint environment.

We are looking for an experienced endpoint engineer who has delivered large-scale device management, migration and transformation initiatives, and can operate effectively across both the Apple and Microsoft ecosystems. With a primary focus on Jamf Pro and Apple Business Manager, you will help deliver a secure, scalable and sustainable endpoint management service. You will bring a strong understanding of industry best practices, a continuous improvement mindset, and a pragmatic approach to solving complex technical challenges within a close-knit, high-performing team.

Some key responsibilities of the role include:

• Delivering and enhancing Apple endpoint management services across the enterprise, including Jamf Pro, Apple Business Manager and Automated Device Enrolment. This includes supporting the evolution of macOS management capabilities, contributing to Digital Workplace roadmaps, and implementing solutions aligned to architectural and operational standards.

• Implementing and maintaining modern device management capabilities, including device lifecycle management, build standards, configuration profiles, security baselines, application packaging and lifecycle management, and provisioning frameworks. This includes advancing zero-touch deployment and modern enrolment practices to improve user experience and operational efficiency.

• Supporting secure endpoint and identity integration, including Single Sign-On (SSO), Conditional Access, device compliance controls, and integration with enterprise identity platforms such as Microsoft Entra ID. Working closely with Cyber Security and technology teams, the role contributes to maintaining a secure and compliant Apple endpoint environment.

• Providing technical expertise and operational support for enterprise Apple platforms, ensuring the availability, performance and resilience of endpoint management services. This includes supporting large-scale device onboarding and migration activities, application packaging and deployment, and the use of scripting and automation to streamline provisioning, configuration and remediation processes. The role is also responsible for troubleshooting complex issues, maintaining technical documentation and support procedures, and partnering with infrastructure, identity, service desk and vendor teams to share knowledge and build capability across the wider team.

• Providing technical guidance, advice and escalation support to outsourced partners and internal technology teams, supporting the delivery of major application changes, new platform onboarding, upgrades and lifecycle activities across the Digital Workplace environment.

• Maintaining high-quality operational and governance standards, including the development and upkeep of technical documentation, system configurations, operating procedures and support models. This includes supporting compliance with enterprise standards and regulatory requirements, and participating in audits, risk assessments and continuous improvement activities.

Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?

• 7+ years of proven professional experience in a similar role, within the banking/financial services industry preferred.
• A tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Comprehensive hands-on experience implementing, configuring and managing enterprise Apple environments, including Jamf Pro, Apple Business Manager, Automated Device Enrolment, macOS device management at scale, application packaging and deployment, application lifecycle management, and modern provisioning practices.
• Exposure to Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Entra ID would be advantageous.
• Demonstrable understanding and application of information security best practice standards and guidelines.
• Experience managing and maintaining highly available platforms, with the ability to handle multiple requests and prioritise.
• Experience working with third-party vendors and partners to solve complex multi-stakeholder issues.
• Expertise in troubleshooting, solutioning, and resolving service and operational issues, including root cause analysis.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain and present technical concepts clearly, and to share knowledge and mentor colleagues to build capability across the team.
• A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality experiences, supported by strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
