Job Description

• To lead and guide a group of operation technicians for operation and maintenance including troubleshooting.
• Prepare all required specification, operating procedure and working instruction and ensure all documentations are properly updated and maintained.
• To ensure that IMS System or any certifications are always in compliance.
• To supervise and monitor the performance of the contractors. To make sure WESTERN DIGITAL’s rules and regulations are obeyed by the contractors.
• To manage all online monitoring systems in operational condition.
• To identify opportunities for cost savings and expense reduction.
•  Liaise with engineering / production personnel on the facilities reliability & quality requirement.
• Manage the calibration of all the related equipment / instruments and unit operation of the plant.
• Plan, supervise and manage related projects, upgrading and contract services.
• To manage spare part for operation and maintenance.
• Breakdown Issue/crisis (upset) management at off working hours, weekend, and public holiday.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in managing facilities operation and maintenance for factory or industry. 
• Candidate must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or other equivalent engineering including facilities management.
• Candidate with competency certificate; certified by professional body will be an added advantage.

PREFERRED:

• Experience managing HVAC, fire protection, compressor, vacuum, exhaust, PA, electrical system and building maintenance.
• Working experience in clean room environment will be an added advantage.

SKILLS

• Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as Power Point, Excel, and Word required. Proficiency in AutoCAD or related software is highly desired.
• Possess right analytical skills.
• Good communication skills and able to converse and write well in English.
• Pro-active, independent, and right attitude.
• Work with minimal supervision and a team player.
