Job Description

The project manager is responsible for handling projects assigned within the Procurement team/s. You will be working closely with your team members to ensure that all project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are on track.

The successful candidate will need to have an extensive knowledge and proven track record in Procurement and Purchasing partnered with multiple project management experience preferably in a manufacturing or similar industry. Has more than 3 years of managerial experience and capable of leading a team both locally based or in remote locations. A Procurement and Project Management Professional certification is a huge advantage.

This job is responsible for delivering the organization outcome as stated:

  1. Responsibilities include submitting project deliverables, preparing status reports, and establishing effective project communication plans as well as the proper execution of said plans.
    1. Coordinating with cross-discipline team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.
    2. Meeting with project team members to identify and resolve issues.
    3. Submitting project deliverables and ensuring that they adhere to quality standards.
    4. Preparing status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information.
    5. Establishing effective project communication plans and ensuring their execution.
    6. Facilitating change requests to ensure that all parties are informed of the impacts on schedule.
  2. Coordinating the development of user manuals, training materials, and other documents as needed to enable successful implementation and turnover of the process or system to the clients.
  3. Conducting post-project evaluation and identifying successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  4. ERP project oversight.
  5. Interface with commodity sourcing team to execute sourcing strategies.
  6. Build an effective communication with GMs and HODs, interface with BU end-user and planning team.
  7. Work closely with other site Purchasing Manager (IDM) to align and harmonize ways of working and ensure knowledge transfer of best practices or continuous improvements.
  8. Provide support or coverage on day to day Purchasing activities as needed or assigned.
    1. Responsibilities include map & improve E2E Purchasing process.
    2. Assist or provide coverage in managing site-purchasing organization with professional leadership, coaching, and development.
    3. Responsible and accountable for the success of the purchasing team in terms of PO management, on time delivery, contract management, compliance, project management, risk management and people management
  9. Develop and coach employees to their full potential through clear direction and decisive leadership.
  10. Maintain a strategic awareness and procurement management concepts.
  11. Champion development opportunities to upskill team members.

  • Report product / production irregularity, anomaly, defectives in relation to product quality assurance.
  • Others as assigned or delegated by his/her superior.

Qualifications

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in any field or master’s degree is a plus.
  • Procurement and Project Management Professional certification is a huge advantage.

Experience Requirements

  • Experience preferably in a manufacturing or similar industry.
  • 3 years people manager experience in managing min of 6 team members is preferred.
  • Experience of managing an organization with multiple remote locations is preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge in ERP system/s (Oracle Cloud, SAP, etc.)
  • Negotiation course is a plus

  • Computer literacy especially   in Microsoft Excel & MS Power Point

Knowledge

  • Laws and regulations that pertain to the procurement of these requirements as they pertain to the delivery and usage of the specified item at the required location of use.
  • Concept of ISO 9000, 9001, 14001 and 45001
