Job Description
Senior Engineer/ Engineer (Digital Transformation) in Quality Assurance Engineering – leads our digital transformation initiatives within the Quality Department. The role will integrate advanced digital tools and methodologies to enhance quality processes, drive efficiency, and ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
The Senior Engineer/ Engineer will execute assigned tasks to ensure product quality while supporting environmental, safety, and health protocols. The role involves maintaining departmental business continuity activities as well as identifying and mitigating functional business risks to the optimal level. This ensures that quality assurance processes align with organizational standards and regulatory requirements, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Quality Department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Digital Process Enhancement: Proactively analyze existing quality processes to identify opportunities for digital enhancements, automation, and data-driven decision-making to improve product quality and compliance.
- Data Analysis and Visualization: Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards to visualize quality performance and trends, enabling informed decision-making.
- Automation Implementation: Leverage tools such as Microsoft Power Automate and Power BI to automate workflows and reporting processes, reducing manual effort and minimizing errors.
- Compliance Assurance: Ensure digital quality processes comply with company policies and industry standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, engineering, IT, shipping, and others, to ensure alignment and integration of digital quality initiatives.
- Participate in improvement activities with relevant parties as applicable.
- Assist in ensuring the functional business risk (in area of assigned responsibility) are adequately identified and mitigated at best possible level.
- Responsible for the personal health and safety at the workplace.
- Accountable for the assigned departmental KPI results, report trend compilation and distribution.
- Support communication with customer (Media), as required.
- Support any other projects / task assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML).
PREFERRED:
- Experience with digital tools and platforms for data visualization.
- Knowledge/ Trained in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 22301, RBA standards, statistical tools, six sigma methodology, SPC, FMEA, 8D etc. will be an added advantage.
SKILLS
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable insights for problem solving.
- Proficient in data analysis and visualization (e.g., Spotfire, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- High adaptability and resilient with reset and growth mindset.
