About this role:
Corporate & Investment Banking (“CIB”) delivers a comprehensive suite of capital markets, banking, and financial products and services. A trusted partner to our clients, we provide corporate and transactional banking; commercial real estate lending and servicing; investment banking; equity; and fixed income solutions including sales, trading, and research capabilities to corporate, commercial real estate, government, and institutional clients across the globe.
The Acquisitions & Divestitures (“A&D”) team within the Energy & Power Group in CIB is seeking an execution banker, at the Vice President level, to join its team. The position will report to the Head of Acquisitions & Divestitures.
The A&D team is an established practice at Wells Fargo and is a part of the firm’s broader Energy & Power Investment Banking business, focused on advising companies operating in the upstream and midstream sectors. The team is comprised of experienced, product-focused bankers and partners with industry coverage bankers to develop strategic recommendations for clients.
In this role, you will:
Provide engineering analysis in support of the execution of A&D transactions for our corporate clients
Present complex ideas and analyses to internal and external parties
Generate strategic content, including industry analysis and product-specific concepts
Coordinate deliverables with internal product partners
Manage day-to-day project workflows
Develop junior talent
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Investment Banking experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
5+ years of Reservoir Engineering experience
Experience in energy markets
Ability to work effectively both independently as well as in a team environment
Ability to work in a fast paced deadline driven environment
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
High degree of proficiency in Aries, Spotfire, and suite of Microsoft office products
Job Expectations:
Registration for Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
Registration for FINRA Series 79 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
