About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Technology Director


In this role, you will:

  • Manage a team of engineering managers and engineering leads
  • Focus on delivering commitments aligned to enterprise strategic priorities
  • Build support for strategies with business and technology leaders
  • Guide development of actionable roadmaps and plans
  • Identify opportunities and strategies for continuous improvement of software engineering practices
  • Provide oversight to software craftsmanship, security, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions developed by the teams or third party providers
  • Identify financial management and strategic resourcing
  • Set risk management guidelines and partner with stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
  • Develop strategies for hiring engineering talent
  • Lead implementation of projects and encourage engineering innovation
  • Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers
  • Lead team to achieve objectives
  • Interface with external agencies, regulatory bodies or industry forums
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Technology Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy


Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of Technology Strategic Leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of Management experience

Desired Qualifications

  • 18+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
  • Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in computer science or information Systems
  • 10+ years of Cyber security and data science , with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • 8+ years of Managing, hiring, engagement and developing specialized data engineers across platforms.
  • One or more professional certifications like CSSLP (Certified Secure Systems Lifecycle Professional), CISM or CISSP
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing data-driven cybersecurity solutions.
  • Expertise in secure coding standards and agile secure SDLC and deep knowledge of EPL integration
  • Superior attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated skills of communicating findings, solutions and presenting recommendations to a wide audience of stakeholders such as senior leadership / audit / regulators
  • Stay informed and educated on current and potential security threats and attacks.
  • Engineering mindset, experience of working across senior stakeholders and user-groups.
  • Experience in technology consulting companies or experience in US banking sector is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience of communicating secure development concepts to non-technical audiences and the ability to achieve results through strong communication skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge on Information Security related requirements in applications, secure development standards, and Best Practices.
  • Demonstrated ability in publishing secure coding standards.
  • Experience in Collaborating with cross functional teams to achieve results.
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management.
  • Demonstrated experience of conflict resolution, negotiation and problem identification and solving skills.
  • Proficiency in machine learning, statistical analysis, and AI techniques.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Pyspark and SQL.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity tools and platforms.

Job Expectations:

  • Lead the Data Science Program team in India.  
  • Demonstrate to the strategic leadership ensuring to remain at the forefront of technological advancement, industry leadership, and cybersecurity resilience.
  • Drive and execute a comprehensive data science strategy roadmap in alignment with enterprise Cybersecurity priorities.
  • Increase Scalability of the data engineering and advanced data analytics and AI adoption to cloud-first principle and tighter alignment with Enterprise Pipeline (EPL).
  • Continuously align product development with BPPA architecture and agile construct
  • Lead a team of data scientists, analysts, and engineers in designing and implementing data -driven cybersecurity solutions.
  • Manage the workload, allocate resources, and ensure the agreed timelines are adhered to. Ensure quality delivery within the function through quality review activities.
  • Mentor engineers and managers in their professional development
  • Collaborate with senior management to align data science initiatives with business goals and security needs.
  • Develop and enforce data governance and ethical use of data in cybersecurity applications.
  • Lead the activities related to People management, Performance management, Talent acquisition, Team engagement, Learning and development, Talent retention etc.
