Senior Systems Operations Engineer

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Systems Operations Engineer

In this role, you will:

• Lead or participate in managing all installed systems and infrastructure within the Systems Operations functional area
• Contribute in increasing system efficiencies and lowering the human intervention time on related tasks
• Review and analyze moderately complex operational support systems, application software, and system management tools to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
• Work with vendors and other technical personnel for problem resolution
• Lead team to meet technical deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of technical process controls or standards
• Collaborate with vendors and other technical personnel to resolve technical issues and achieve highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain tools and Processes for Automating infrastructure deployment and management
• Design Implement and Improve Monitoring and alerting systems to Proactively identify and resolve potential issues
• Collaborate with Development teams to Ensure new services and features are Launched with operational Excellence
• Participate in On call Rotations to respond to incidents and ensure service availability 24/7
• Conduct post Incident reviews and Implement measures to prevent recurring issues
• Perform Capacity Planning to ensure system can handle projected growth with traffic spikes
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to system performance , reliability, and security
• Continuously seek opportunities to optimize and improve existing system and processes
• Build large scale ETL solutions using SSIS, SQL .
• Building real-time ETL and messaging pipeline using Kafka, Talend , Ab Initio.
• Work on integrating with enterprise Kafka stream and use ETL framework to transform the data for DWH and reporting layer.
• Manage large data in DWH using Database partitions .
• Involve in complete SDLC and work closely with both EGS and US partners.
• Build knowledge about the domain and train other team members.
• understanding Functional Requirements / User Stories
• creating Technical Design Documentation
• development of software code
• Verify program logic for correctness by conducting Unit Testing
• Bug-fixing and provide support for QA Testing, UAT Testing
• In-sprint System Integration Testing (SIT)
• Be part of the Status Meetings or Scrum calls
• Must have acute sense of accountability and ownership of own assignments
• Should be good in collaboration and teamwork

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Additional Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science , engineering or related field ( Or equivalent  experience )
• Expertise in writing TSQL programming using Microsoft SQL server 2012 and above
• Around 10+ years of experience with both relational Database( SQL preferred) and noSQL Databases ( Mongo, Postgre, Elastic ).
• Advance knowledge in reporting frameworks ( Tableau, Tableau with python ( tabpy), Grafana, Kibana, PowerBI, SSRS )
• Detailed knowledge on Datalake and Datariver concepts with hands on implementation.
• 10+ years of experience with SSIS , SQL Server and T-SQL.
• Thorough understanding on data security and encrypting data at rest.
• Well versed with machine learning models with hands on experience in anomaly detection and time series analysis.
• Knowledge on deep neural network is plus.
• Working experience in SCRUM and scaled agile framework.
• Solid undersetting or Linux/Unix systems and networking
• Proficient in one or more programming languages (E.g. . Python , Java , .Net)
• Experience with Cloud infrastructure and container orchestration platform (E.g AWS, GCP, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with Configuration management and infrastructure as code tools like Ansible , Terraform
• Hands on experience with monitoring and logging tools ( E.g. Prometheus , Grafana , ELK stack)
• Ability to Collaborate Effectively with cross functional teams and Communicate technical concepts clearly

Preferred Qualification

• Experience with Continuous integration and deployment pipeline
• Knowledge of DevOps Principles and practices
• Familiarity with security best practices protocols
• Prior experience in an SRE role or similar capacity
