Senior Network Engineer

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Network Engineer.

In this role, you will:

• Participate in triage of major incidents across all of secure network services
• Identify gaps in incident handling procedures, and ensure accurate representation of roles and responsibilities assigned to the network teams
• Conduct detailed post incident reviews to improve incident, problem and change management processes
•  Understand 3rd party vendor operations and risks
• Build a system of regular business operational review and lead product team vendor requirement discussions with the vendors
• Improve vendor SLA's, operational support and business relations with product team
• Apply knowledge of security and regulatory policies to design and implement foolproof secured process solutions
• Provide resolution information and work with other teams to complete impact analysis
• Deliver comprehensive and maintenance plans for change, problem and incident management review and approval
• Mentor and train peers to overall improve productivity and cohesiveness of the team
• Partner cross-functionally with other Product Infrastructure teams in order to continuously improve and apply standards and policies relevant to operational excellence

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Business Systems Data and risk controls execution , or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge  and understanding of network and security technology encompassing: routers, switches, firewalls, WAF, wireless systems, cryptography, key management, etc.
• Experience with developing or enhancing processes with accountability for success

Job Expectations:

• Assist with tactical execution of processes that ensure the Secure Network Services organization maintains the highest quality service to our partners by partnering with TI and other peer organizations
• Improve processes to oversee major incident management controls and comply with organizational network security policies.
• Establish a strong vendor relations platform for Secure network services organizations to efficiently onboard key 3rd party vendors, improve operational deliverables and lead business discussions between vendors and product teams
