About this role:

We are the Digital team supporting Commercial Banking and Corporate & Investment Banking, as part of the Strategy, Digital, and Innovation (SDI) group at Wells Fargo. We are looking for a dynamic product leader as part of Embedded Finance. As part of embedded finance, we are looking to enable our clients and partners to seamlessly connect to the digital capabilities of Wells Fargo in the systems of their choice, with limited to no technology effort. This leader would be lead the strategy, and be part of the team responsible for building and deploying platform enablers, embedded plug-ins and SDKs to streamline the integration of Wells Fargo APIs spanning every line of business. In this role, you will:

  • Act as an advisor to senior leadership to develop or influence digital products, initiatives, plans, specifications, resources, and long-term goals for highly complex business and technical needs across a functional area within the Digital environment
  • Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise
  • Deliver solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking
  • Coordinate highly complex activities and guidance to others
  • Provide vision, direction and expertise to senior leadership on implementing innovative and significant digital business plans, programs and initiatives which have significant impact
  • Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise
  • Serve as an expert advisor to leadership
  • Interface with clients and their customers through field research, usability studies, and surveys to identify/prioritize product needs and ensure an industry-leading product
  • Work closely with the API product management team to launch successful product enhancements and new client programs
  • Engage and influence stakeholders, internal partners and peers associated with the function or affected by its outcomes
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for programs and initiatives with impact across the business line and may have impact beyond the business line Determine appropriate strategy and actions of the team to meet moderate to high-risk deliverables
  • Interpret and develop policies and procedures for functions with moderate complexity within scope of responsibility
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives in aligned department or business group
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
  • Develop a close partnership with LOB leaders and product teams to ensure close alignment on roadmap, prioritization, and sequencing of enhancements.
  • Effectively communicate and influence with all levels of leadership
  • Most importantly, be obsessively focused on customer needs, with experience in methodically testing hypotheses with customers early and often to ensure our solutions meet the mark from a value, feasibility, and viability standpoint.


Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of digital product management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Customer / User Experience Design
  • API Product Management
  • Experience leading and/or participating in design thinking workshops
  • Expertise in using digital capabilities to solve problems for clients/customers
  • Strong understanding of client workflow in the digital capabilities space
  • Have shipped, owned, maintained and enhanced public facing digital products


Job Expectations:

  • Travel required up to 15%
  • This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship which includes immediate transfer of H1-B, TN or E-3 visas as well as future sponsorship of individuals currently completing curriculum or training on OPT or F-1 visas.
  • This position will not be fully remote. Must be willing to work on-site 3 times a week

Pay Range

$120,400.00 - $287,600.00
