Lead Network Security Architect

Wells Fargo is back in the office, working together and collaborating for great outcomes in our Cyber Security Division.

This role is three days a week in the office, seated in the areas where the ad is posted.

This role has no Visa sponsorship or transfer.

You are a been there done that technical expert with a solid skill set in network and security. We need someone who is passionate about what they do with a keen eye for preventing back doors being open in large enterprise systems. You’re the kind of person who is a lifelong learner and understands security within the Cloud. Your nature is having a risk mindset and weighing options for best outcomes for all.

As a Network Security Architect, you'll have solid technical chops with Firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS and other network security technologies in large infrastructures. You’re the kind of person who has experience with different Cloud security architecture, including design and implementation for regulated industries. You have good working knowledge of containers.

In this role, you will act as a network security architect, with a heavy focus on security and locking down the Cloud. Each day you will, lead the design of complex projects and initiatives that have companywide scope. You’ll be challenged and enjoy creating architectural artifacts for products and key technology initiatives with a focus on network security.

You’ll be a valued team member and participate in the definition of future technology architecture and strategy at Wells Fargo by identifying architecture modernization and simplification opportunities. In addition, you’ll conduct complex technology and system assessments for architecture solutions.

You’ll be responsible for communicating the companywide architecture strategy and direction to both management and systems related teams and making decisions in the development and maintenance of architectures. With security in the top of your mind, you’ll ensure applications adhere to established Wells Fargo standards, policies, methodologies and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of Systems Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

Prior experience in a regulated industry  (banking, financial, energy, government)

Deep understanding of network security protocols, architecture, and design principles

Experience with Firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS and other network security technologies

Experience with Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) and network segmentation (macro and micro) solutions at scale

Experience with multi-cloud security architecture, design and implementation for regulated industries

Understanding of cloud-native and cloud-based security solutions, such as Google, AWS and Azure Cloud, as well as the ability to integrate these solutions into cloud security architectures

Strong collaboration and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Security and cloud certifications, such as CISSP, CCSP and Azure, AWS, GCP cloud certifications
