About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer


In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
  • Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
  • Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
  • Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
  • Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
  • Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Additional Required Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in developing web based applications and microservices, should have experience in UI and Server technologies (ANGULAR / React, Spring, JPA, Hibernate).
  • Experience in developing the functionalities, enhancements and bug fixes for application (UI/Backend) by consuming and exposing REST / HTTP services.
  • Designing, implementing and maintaining Java services with well-designed, efficient and test driven code.
  • Develop  service/business layer components using Spring & Kafka
  • Should be able to design and develop Micro services in java by using Spring boot with Oracle/SQL Server Database.
  • Strong knowledge of Junit/TestNG.
  • Provide technical direction to the project team: lead and participate in design discussions, writing code and code reviews. Work closely with the team to develop appropriate technical design and approach for application development       
  • Functional Skills in onboarding systems, and hands-on in integrations with integrated systems.
  • Periodic review of current status of system applications and prepare recommendations for improvements.
  • Strong understanding & experience with security scans including Fortify scans, BlackDuck scans, Vulnerability identification and resolution
  • Assure deliverables are as per the agreed requirements, conform to quality standards, and are delivered within committed timelines
  • Ability to actively engage business/technology partners, present, defend & challenge technical recommendations
  • Instill best practices for software development and documentation for Code Quality, Unit Testing, Automation Testing RWF

Desired skill:

  • Experience designing and developing learning for complex technology systems and processes including Agile development methodology environments
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Highly motivated person with the ability to learn new technologies hands on an on-going basis.
  • Ability to motivate a team and lead strategic initiatives, collaborating across a large organization and multi-tasking as required 
  • Experience with Clean coding concepts
  • Experience with Cloud based development
  • Working knowledge of Agile tools like Jira, Confluence
