About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Cloud & Site Reliability Engineer to support the Digital Capacity & Cloud Acceleration team in Digital Technology & Innovation.
In this role, you will:
- Participate in complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
- Focus on accelerating and supporting Wells Fargo’s cloud migration strategy through a combination of technology, process, and collaboration
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in Production Support/Site Reliability Engineering, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
- Experience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems in a large-scale hybrid environment (on-prem VM & private/public cloud).
- Must have hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools such as AppDynamics, Splunk, GCL, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus etc.
- Working knowledge of code deployment tools such as UrbanCode Deploy or Harness.
- Experience with Blue/Green and Canary deployment models to limit the blast radius.
- Ability to work with Engineering teams across the ecosystem such as Security, Networking & Infrastructure which can impact platform health & resiliency.
- Proficiency supporting high-volume critical production applications hosted in a hybrid environment such as on-premise VM’s and public/private cloud on PCF/TAS, TKGI, and AKS.
- Strong & relevant experience in supporting Web/API platforms built using Java/Spring Boot.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code solutions and other configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.
- Proficiency in a common scripting language (such as bash or other shell scripting, python, golang, etc)
- A proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks.
- Gather and analyze platform, container, and application metrics to assist in performance tuning and resolving issues.
- Experience conducting technical training sessions to engineers on processes, procedures, troubleshooting tips, etc.
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, computer science engineering, or related experience required.
- Act as a key participant in developing/enforcing SRE best practices for large scale and complex technology solutions hosted on private/public cloud platforms
- Collaborate and consult with cross-function teams and subject matter experts across the organization to resolve complex technical issues and assist in reaching our goals/objectives
