Wells Fargo's Wealth & Investment Management (WIM) is making a significant multi-year investment in its e-Brokerage platform to provide an even more compelling and competitive offering to customers. This investment will add important new capabilities and features both for self-directed and automated investing and provide new fully native mobile experiences. About our team:

The WIMT Digital team manages, develops and supports customer facing brokerage systems. It has approximately 170 engineers globally between the US and India. Our main development centers in the US are in New York/New Jersey, Charlotte (NC) and St. Louis (MO). You should expect to spend three days a week collaborating with your team in the office on a flexible schedule. Our engineers are a mixture of full stack, front end and back-end service experts, who take advantage of the firm’s commitment to ongoing professional development through a wide range of resources. We have a separate first line support team that allows engineers to focus on their objectives. Our strong partnership with our business and co-ownership of work through the Agile product operating model means that there are plenty of opportunities for you to work directly with our business partners and further your understanding of the business.

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a best-in-class lead software engineer to lead the development and modernization of the digital trading platform. This role will be responsible for architecting, designing and implementing capabilities to modernize and scale legacy platforms within the digital space. ​The role will be responsible for instilling best practices intended to improve quality and time to market. Key skills include domain driven design, test driven design and experience building and deploying, mission critical microservices. As a lead software engineer, coaching and mentoring junior team members is required.

In this role, you will:

• Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
• Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
• Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
• Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
• Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
• Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
• Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
• 5+ years experience Java software development
• 5+ years experience with JavaScript and React JS with Responsive Design
• 3+ years experience Demonstrated understanding of testing principals
• 3+ years experience with test-driven development using Junit and Mockito
• 3+ years experience mentoring and coaching junior team developers

Desired Qualifications:

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• 4+ years developing or maintaining RESTful interfaces
• 4+ years Spring Boot
• 4+ years' experience of Java IDE, GIT, Jira, and Jenkin
• Experience in application testing using BDD with Cucumber
• Understanding of Domain Driven Design principals
• Knowledge of Cloud-based applications and microservices
• Experience remediating security findings/vulnerabilities

$133,300.00 - $237,100.00
