About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Head of SWIFT Governance and Modernization in the Chief Operating Office within Global Operations.

SWIFT is a critical application for the bank and all key financial services organizations globally. Wells Fargo is investing to modernize the SWIFT infrastructure within the Bank, which has a firmwide impact – across major businesses, including Consumer Investment Bank, Consumer Banking and Global Treasury Management.  In addition to leading the modernization, this leader will also need to establish robust governance around all mandatory SWIFT changes (multiple times a year) with key stakeholders and Operating Committees.

This role is also known as a Business Execution Director

In this role, you will:

  • Be accountable to successfully deliver a portfolio of technology modernization programs across a suite of SWIFT applications to improve operating performance, mitigate risks and improve the client experience
  • Build a world-class governance program and drive senior stakeholder engagement as part of this transformation journey.
  • Manage change across a diverse organization and multiple lines of business, including the experience needed to credibly challenge the technical architecture, execution approach and work effort prioritization.
  • Must be effective at formulating strategy and threading end-to-end vision together for the product teams to drive successful delivery of initiatives, as defined by key constituents and stakeholders.
  • Must possess the ability to navigate horizontally across multiple workstreams to align on objectives, identify and manage delivery gaps including designing frameworks and strategies to address change management, testing improvement strategies, LOB engagement target operating models, enterprise level communications, intake, and governance processes.
  • Strong executive presence, communication, and senior leadership ability necessary to communicate with C-Suite executives, customers, and key stakeholders and operating committee level engagement.
  • Experience managing and optimizing portfolio resources, to gain capacity and financial efficiencies and to maximize workload throughput in line with business objectives. 
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Business Execution and ensures budgets and resources are well managed and optimized.
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
  • Engages Senior Stakeholders to drive key decisions, remove impediments and drive effective trade-offs between speed of delivery and functional design/capabilities.

Work locations: New York, New York; Charlotte, North Carolina; Minneapolis, Minnesota and West Des Moines, Iowa.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, including Management experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of management experience
  • 8+ years of experience in Payments Systems, Clearing Systems and Financial Market Infrastructure including understanding of Regulatory and Compliance requirements for Payments.

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to travel 20% of time.

Pay range:

144,400.00 - 300,000.00 USD Annual
