The Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) delivers a comprehensive suite of banking, capital markets and advisory solutions, including a full complement of sales, trading and research capabilities, to corporate, government and institutional clients. We focus on our clients' overall financial needs, with consideration and respect for their total relationship with Wells Fargo.

The successful candidate will:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and increase market share in electronic trading, portfolio trading, and ETF trading.
  • Lead, mentor, and coach a high-performing sales team to maximize their potential and drive individual and collective success.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional clients, including hedge funds, asset managers, ETF issuers, and pension funds.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including trading desks, research teams, product development, and technology, to enhance offerings and address client needs.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics to identify opportunities.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in sales processes, tools, and methodologies to optimize efficiency and effectiveness
  • Identify opportunities and strategies for process improvement and risk control development.
  • Guide team to take and execute complex solicited or unsolicited investment orders.
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives in Securities Sales Trading
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy

This position is subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background check. Internal transfers are subject to comply with 17 CRF 240.17f-2 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and FINRA Bylaws, Article III, Section 3, which states that Associated Persons should not be subject to statutory disqualification. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and are required to report certain incidents.


Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of Securities Sales Trading experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of Management experience


Desired Qualifications:

  • A BS/BA degree or higher
  • 10+ years of experience in sales trading leadership roles within the financial services industry, with a focus on electronic trading, portfolio trading, and ETF trading.
  • FINRA registration including Series 7 (or FINRA recognized equivalents)
  • FINRA registration including Series 63 (or FINRA recognized equivalents)
  • FINRA registration including Series 57 (or FINRA recognized equivalents)
  • FINRA registration including Series 24 (or FINRA recognized equivalents)
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth in a competitive environment.
  • Strong understanding of electronic trading platforms, order execution strategies, and market structure
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate market insights into actionable sales strategies.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional client service and driving long-term value.

Job Expectations:

  • Create a process to increase client engagement, drive revenue, and increase mindshare across the Wells Fargo client base.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

Pay Range:

  • Base pay range for this position in New York is 400,000.00 - 400,000.00 USD
  • May be considered for a discretionary bonus, Restricted Share Rights or other long-term incentive awards

Pay Range

$249,500.00 - $518,300.00
