Data Management Manager - VP

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Data Management Manager within Data Management & Insights group

In this role, you will:

• Make decisions and resolve issues regarding operational execution for data governance, data quality or metadata
• Recommend strategies to prioritize and remediate data quality issues that align with business needs or regulatory compliance initiatives
• Identify and recommend opportunities for the development of audits and controls structured around business processes and data quality target state and metadata standards
• Manage and develop team of individual contributor roles with low to moderate complexity focused on defining data quality requirements and delivering on data integrity initiatives
• Manage operational execution of activities related to all stages of the remediation lifecycle
• Direct team in developing solutions, tools and processes used to maintain a common
• companywide data quality, control standards and data sourcing
• Collaborate with and consult with peers, colleagues, and multiple level managers to ensure consistent approach and direction on companywide remediation efforts
• Serve as single point of contact for escalations on low to moderate complexity issues.
• Manage allocation of people and mentor large team to deliver complex assignments on planned timelines
• Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent
• Work as part of the Corporate Functions BDL team to support and deliver metadata and data quality artifacts for the applications supporting use case requirements
• Provide guidance on identification of core data elements including System Of Record
• Work with Leadership team and understand business priorities and plan accordingly
• Accountability to support RCSA process and support required activities
• Adhere to data governance procedures and requirements

Required Qualifications:

• University degree in Business or related discipline
• 15 years of Data Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
• 8+ years of experience with applying and executing, reviewing controls or assurance with business processes
• 4+ years change management, Process formulation, team leading, and Stakeholder management experience
• 4+ years of project management experience in support of process change within an organization
• monitoring, domain management, and master / reference data management
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement initiatives in line with program roadmap objectives
• Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with business and technical subject matter experts on system implementations
• Strong in written and oral communication skill
• Presentation skills (PPTs or flow charts and Documentation)
• Hands on person and eager to learn new process and areas

Desired Qualifications:

• Solid knowledge and understanding of audit or risk methodologies and supporting tools
• Strong understanding of financial regulatory environment
• Experience leading and providing feedback to staff on audit projects or engagements
• Experience with Issue Validation and Remediation
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability.
• Ability to summarize and recommend new strategies/solution.
• Ability to research, trend, and analyze data.
• Ability to effectively communicate, verbal and written, with various levels of management, including senior leaders and executives.
• Experience in Audit, Compliance, Risk and testing.
• Experience presenting status in a manner that informs, and enhances understanding at all levels
• High Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Critical Thinking and Analytical skills.
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
• Certification in one or more of the following: CPA, CAMS, CRCM, CIA, CISA or Commissioned Bank Examiner designation
• Experience building strong relationships with senior leadership
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Job Expectations:

• Lead complex enterprise-wide regulatory programs and collaborates on strategic initiatives for data governance, data quality and metadata activities
• May act as a relationship manager for a line of business
