About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Business Execution Senior Manager to join the Chief Administrative Office (CAO) Business Management team.

This is a newly created position that will lead a small team of Business Execution Consultants and manage CAO & COO business routines. The role requires a strategic mindset; sense of urgency; ability to focus on the priorities and clarify what is most important from that which can be deferred; confidentiality; and excellent facilitation skills.


In this role, you will:

  • Manage and develop a team of Business Execution Consultants leading Business Management activities, employee engagement & development and the implementation of enterprise initiatives for the Chief Administrative Office.

  • Lead Services Governance activities and Staffing Adequacy planning and reporting for CAO functions

  • Lead employee engagement activities for the CAO, including periodic Speaker Series, Leadership Academy and Extended Leadership Team programs.

  • Partner with Enterprise Finance and HR to monitor and manage CAO Financials and Headcount, including development and management of ongoing business routines to provide governance & oversight.

  • Provide oversight and governance of enterprise Move-the-Lines (MTL) activities for the Chief Operating Office (excluding Operations functions)

  • Perform industry research on competitors and peer organizations, formulate recommendations and develop compelling business cases (backed by metrics and research) to support priority initiatives.

  • Prepare executive level presentation materials and executive briefings.

  • Partner with senior leaders across CAO to refine the business strategy and create/execute corresponding business plans and initiatives. 

  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Business Management


Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 3+ years Management experience


Desired Qualifications:

  • Prior Management consulting experience at a top-tier consulting firm for large financial services companies

  • Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in the financial services industry.

  • Experience with capacity management disciplines,  forecasting process improvement and measurements  

  • Ability to analyze financial and headcount reports and make recommendations for changes

  • Experience leading employee engagement related activities

  • Experience leading governance and oversight requirements for Staffing Adequacy and Move-line-activities

  • Strategy and business case development, including obtaining executive approval on projects.

  • Ability to translate strategic initiatives into executable programs, including defining the problem statement and articulating the scope of the solution, identifying impacted areas and components, identifying resource requirements, gathering estimates, defining timelines and packaging information for presentation to executive leadership.

  • Highly refined and professional verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to lead, present, and obtain buy in from large stakeholder groups spanning staff through senior and executive management.

  • Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint skills.

  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills

  • Ability to synthesize complex analytical findings into executive level communications.

  • Influential leadership, ability to lead and manage teams without direct authority.

  • Self-starter, with a proven ability to think both strategically and tactically, diagnose opportunities and implement operationally often in ambiguous environments.

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
