We are looking for an experienced DevOps / Platform Engineering leader with strong expertise in cloud infrastructure, SRE, automation, security, and platform scalability for mission-critical systems.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Platform Architecture & Scalability
- Design, build, and operate highly scalable, reliable, secure, and fault-tolerant cloud infrastructure
- Make architectural trade-offs and drive infrastructure decisions for large-scale distributed systems
- Improve platform reliability, deployment velocity, operational excellence, and developer experience
- Drive infrastructure modernization, automation, and cloud-native engineering practices
Technical Leadership
- Mentor and guide DevOps, SRE, and Platform Engineering teams
- Demonstrate strong technical leadership and create engineering impact across teams
- Lead AI adoption strategies for engineering productivity, infrastructure automation, and operational efficiency
- Participate in infrastructure, architecture, and security reviews to maintain high engineering standards
DevOps, Security & Compliance
- Drive secure and compliant deployment practices aligned with PCI-DSS, SOC2, and related standards
- Lead incident response, production outage management, RCA/post-mortems, and SRE practices
- Ensure platform security, reliability, scalability, and observability across environments
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Engineering, Product, Security, Data, and QA teams to define and execute platform roadmap
- Translate business and engineering requirements into scalable infrastructure solutions
- Manage stakeholder communication related to deliverables, risks, dependencies, and timelines
- Coordinate planning and execution across cross-functional teams
Performance & Optimization
- Drive capacity planning, infrastructure performance tuning, and cloud cost optimization
- Continuously improve monitoring, logging, tracing, and operational visibility
- Enhance deployment pipelines and infrastructure automation practices
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent (B.E / B.Tech / MCA / M.Tech)
- 10+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure roles
- Strong experience working with large-scale distributed production systems in reputed product or fintech organizations
Required Skills
Cloud & Infrastructure
Strong hands-on expertise with AWS cloud infrastructure and services such as:
- ECS, EC2, VPC, IAM, RDS, Kinesis, WAF, SSM, Secrets Manager, etc.
- Deep understanding of Linux production environments
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems, networking, system internals, and asynchronous architectures
Automation & Infrastructure as Code
- Strong programming/scripting skills in Go, Python, or Shell scripting
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation
Strong experience with CI/CD and GitOps practices using:
GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.
Observability & Reliability
Hands-on experience with observability and monitoring stacks:
- Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing, and centralized logging
- Strong understanding of performance engineering, reliability, scalability, and production operations
Containers & Databases
- Experience with Docker, container runtimes, and container image security
Experience managing RDBMS and NoSQL databases at scale:
- PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis
- Strong understanding of load balancing, API gateways, and low-latency distributed services
Engineering & Execution
- Experience with microservices architecture and service-to-service communication patterns
- Ability to scope, estimate, prioritize, and execute infrastructure/platform releases
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Passion for building scalable engineering systems and solving complex infrastructure challenges
Good to Have
- Prior experience in fintech or payments domain
- Hands-on Kubernetes production experience
- Experience with blockchain, stablecoins, or cryptocurrency infrastructure
- AWS cloud certifications
- Familiarity with PCI-DSS, SOC2, OWASP, static code analysis, and security tooling
- Exposure to data engineering technologies such as ClickHouse and dbt
- Prior experience working in high-growth startup environments
