We are seeking an experienced Interior Design Manager to lead client engagement, design development, project execution, and commercial success across premium residential interior projects. This role is ideal for professionals who combine strong design expertise with project management, client relationship management, and business acumen to deliver exceptional customer experiences from concept through completion.

As an Interior Design Manager, you will own the complete interior design journey, working closely with clients to understand their vision, develop personalized design concepts, secure approvals, and ensure flawless execution on site. You will collaborate with design, planning, execution, and project teams while driving client satisfaction, design quality, timely delivery, and business growth. This role also offers the opportunity to build and scale a high-performing interiors team as the function grows.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end client engagement after project onboarding, ensuring a seamless and premium customer experience throughout the interior design journey.
• Understand client requirements, preferences, and lifestyle needs, translating them into creative design concepts, mood boards, and presentation materials.
• Guide clients through design discussions, revisions, and approvals while maintaining clear communication and alignment with project timelines.
• Oversee the preparation, review, and timely release of Good for Construction (GFC) drawings with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.
• Manage interior project execution by coordinating with planning, execution, procurement, and project management teams.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, ensure design intent is maintained, resolve execution challenges, and uphold quality standards.
• Drive project delivery within agreed timelines while maintaining exceptional workmanship and customer satisfaction.
• Take ownership of commercial outcomes, including interior conversion rates, premium solution adoption, upselling opportunities, and overall project value realization.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient coordination across design, operations, and execution.
• Establish best practices, operational processes, and quality standards while contributing to the growth and scalability of the interiors function.
• Mentor, develop, and build a high-performing interiors team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• 7+ years of experience in Interior Design, Residential Interiors, Project Management, or Design Leadershiproles.
• Strong expertise in luxury or premium residential interior design, client consultation, and concept development.
• Proven ability to independently manage projects from design initiation through execution and handover.
• Experience preparing and reviewing construction documentation, including GFC drawings and technical design deliverables.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and ensure timely execution.
• Demonstrated experience handling client relationships, managing expectations, and delivering outstanding customer experiences.
• Commercial awareness with the ability to drive design conversions, premium solutions, and business growth alongside design excellence.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and commitment to maintaining high quality throughout project execution.
• Experience leading or mentoring design teams with the capability to build and scale high-performing functions is highly desirable.
