WebMD Ignite, a division of WebMD, is committed to supporting patients and caregivers from discovery to recovery. As prospective patients start their health care search, we're there to help them understand exactly what they need to know at any given moment. Our content's depth and thoughtfulness drive deeper patient engagement for health improvement. Additionally, our integration technologies such as Krames On FHIR® and direct-to-patient messaging capabilities integrate seamlessly into the clinical workflow to deliver the right resources at the right time, freeing up clinicians to focus on what they do best—care for patients.
We are seeking an outgoing and organized Technical Project Manager who is excited to partner with technology and product management teams to create products that help clinicians educate and engage patients more effectively, and for patients to identify the care they need. If you enjoy jumping in to help teams focus on priorities, removing roadblocks, and improving processes, this is a great opportunity to grow your project management skills while making meaningful contributions to teams doing important work to help people manage their health successfully.
Responsibilities:
The Technical Project Manager will join a dynamic, growing technology team focused on tracking innovative projects that engages and empowers patients from discovery through recovery.
- Lead technical projects with a focus on the extended view, while guiding and collaborating with development and product management leaders
- Develop meaningful, trusting relationships with 2-3 teams to mitigate risks and drive the successful delivery of projects
- Organize teams around project timelines
- Translate project plans and progress into milestone reporting and project status updates
- Actively participate in key Agile/Scrum ceremonies (Daily Standup/Sprint Planning/Retrospective) with development teams
- Communicate with the Product Manager to ensure an adequate backlog of user stories are available for the project team and support the Product Manager during backlog refinement
- Drive collaboration with cross-functional colleagues to remove impediments and gather stakeholder feedback
- Bring all parties to the table to encourage collaborative discussions and alignment on project objectives and priorities
- Analyze existing processes and recommend improvements
Qualifications:
- Associate degree (A.A.) or higher from college or technical school or 3+ years of related experience and/or training
- 3-4 years of experience leading technical projects
- Willingness to adapt on short notice to address key priorities or new opportunities
- Adept organizer with a drive to complete things
- Ability to create and modify project management documentation as needed such as processes, metrics reporting, and dashboards
- Confident and capable of juggling several priorities while working strategically and creatively with multiple teams
- Understanding Agile/Scrum development methodologies is a plus
