Engineering Manager, Designer Data

We are looking for an Engineering Manager, Designer Data to lead our Designer Data team. You will be leading a world-class team tackling ambitious and complex challenges related to the storage, scaling, and syncing capabilities of our core product. This will enable Webflow’s core site data to scale beyond our current needs, move us beyond the single-player foundations of our product, and drive transformational technology changes to our core Designer product.

About the role 

• Location: Remote-first (United States; BC & ON, Canada) 
• Full-time
• Exempt status
• The cash compensation for this role is tailored to align with the cost of labor in different U.S. geographic markets. The base pay for this role ranges from $168,600 in our lowest geographic market up to $237,600 in our highest geographic market. These figures are in $USD and apply to candidates in the United States. The specific base pay within the range will be determined by the candidate’s geographic location, job-related experience, knowledge, qualifications, and skills.

As an Engineering Manager, Designer Data you’ll … 

• Manage a full-stack team focused on scaling, stability, and evolving the foundations for our next era of product and customer growth.
• Oversee the scoping and implementation of the roadmap, frameworks, and features related to the storage and syncing of core Designer data.
• Collaborate with your team and cross-functional peers including across Engineering, Product, and Design to set goals and define engineering strategy.
• Facilitate the development of the individuals on your team by identifying areas for improvement and helping them to grow in their careers with Webflow.
• Drive goal-setting with your team and hold them accountable for results.
• Help shape organizational processes and work with other Engineering Managers to continually evaluate how we can better support our reports and each other.

About you 

You’ll thrive as an Engineering Manager, Designer Data if you …

• You have 2+ years experience managing a team in a high growth environment.
• You have 5+ years as a technical individual contributor building sustainable software systems.
• You have experience leading teams with modern tech stacks such as TypeScript, React, Node.js, Mongo and AWS.
• Experience in mentoring, influencing, and growing senior+ engineers across organizations.
• You are committed to cultivating an inclusive team culture.
• You have managed geographically distributed teams.
• Enjoy opportunities to build structure that impacts your team members and their coworkers.
• Can empathetically deliver tough feedback with respect and kindness.
