WeVote has several open volunteering positions for QA Automation Engineers to help strengthen American Democracy via our Web and Mobile applications. These are long-term, VOLUNTEER opportunities with an Oakland, CA-based non-profit organization. It is expected that you will commit to no less than 6 hours per week for the next six months.

WeVote is building a movement of excellent, passionate, part-time volunteers (starting with the founders) who build mobile technologies that will touch and mobilize millions of voters on Election Day. What You'll Do
Your role as a QA Automation Engineer is to write scripts and create automation environments for repeated tests. Using different automation tools, you will design, test, and deploy effective test automation solutions. Your goal is to automate as much of the testing effort as possible with a minimum set of code. We do also ask all everyone on our QA Automation Engineering team to do some manual testing and manual verification each week.Who you are: Must haves.
- You can demonstrate functional expertise with:
- Selenium
- Appium
- BrowserStack
- Java Script
- Web Driver io
- You want to work with an established and successful team. You are committed to strengthening American Democracy.
- You are striving for personal excellence, and want to do meaningful work that will make a difference.
- You are located in the US
- You have experience working in a remote team environment
- A willingness to work with and support other volunteers.
- You can commit to 6+ hours per week during our core team hours M-F 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. for the next 6+ months
