Senior Product Data Scientist, Fleet Deployment and Readiness

Waymo’s Product Data Science team works cross-functionally with Engineering, Product and Operations to help the company make the most informed decisions using data. Our team collaborates on high-impact projects across the company — from driving quality and operational efficiency to market analysis and rider satisfaction scores — we help to safely and efficiently scale the Waymo Driver. We are data-driven, curious, open-minded, and adapt quickly to new information.

This hybrid role will report to our Product Data Science. #LI-Hybrid

In this role you'll:

• Partner with Operations, Product and Engineering teams to scale and improve Waymo’s fleet operations

• Perform advanced analytics and modeling to increase availability of Waymo’s vehicles 

• Build and maintain state of the art reporting infrastructure to enable continuous decision making

• Work closely with Engineering teams to define and build  Data infrastructure for Fleet operations

• Communicate and present on a regular basis to Waymo leadership

At a minimum we’d like you to have:

• Advanced analytics skills

• Ability to structure and solve ambiguous problems

• Data visualization

• Coding skills (SQL and basic python)

• Expertise and experience with experimentation

• Experience with improving operations at scale

• Great communication

• At least 5 years of relevant experience

It’s preferred if you have:

• Expertise performing analytics with Fleet Operations, Fleet Maintenance, or Reverse Logistics at scale

• Experience building Optimization models
