This hybrid position will be based in our Boston office. At Wayfair, hybrid for Enterprise employees requires a commitment to be in the office Monday through Thursday, with Fridays remote.

We are seeking a skilled Real Estate Transaction and Project Manager to support complex office and industrial real estate transactions and projects within our global portfolio. You’ll be responsible for owning and driving all aspects of office and industrial buildouts, site set-up and decommissioning, and lease transactions. Principal duties include project management, due diligence, transaction negotiation, construction and design project management, budget tracking, and portfolio management. This role requires strong transactional and project management skills, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to manage projects of varying scope and complexity across multiple geographies. 

A successful candidate will have a strong background leading global real estate transactions. This person will be hard-working, proactive, and entrepreneurial. A successful candidate will be able to build consensus among stakeholders at all levels. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, as is a capacity to apply sound, pragmatic judgment in ambiguous and evolving situations. 

What You'll Do

  • Provide project management and day-to-day communications support to broader real estate team and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment and success.
  • Assist with site selection, acquisition/disposition, and transaction negotiations.
  • Partner with internal builds teams on projects, including vendor procurement, negotiation of design and construction contracts, and cost forecasting and management.
  • Lead buildouts and site decommissioning.
  • Prepare project status updates, track budgets, process purchase orders/invoices, and maintain electronic records.
  • Lead/manage lease transactions for all trailer lot subleases and support office and industrial lease transactions.
  • Develop strategies for handling complex, high-visibility problems in creative, business-centric ways while leveraging resources and technology to build processes that maximize opportunities, minimize costs, and enable fast and flexible growth for the company.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 6+ years of experience in commercial real estate (preferably across multiple asset classes). 
  • Proven expertise in managing end-to-end real estate transactions, including planning, execution, problem-solving, and modeling.
  • Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and communication skills. 
  • Ability to be solutions-oriented in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
  • Detail-oriented and data-driven, with excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Self-motivated to seek out challenges and tenacious in pursuit of excellent outcomes. Willing to roll-up sleeves, pitch-in and tackle problems of all shapes and sizes.
  • Familiarity with lease contracts, lease accounting, and architectural and construction contracts.
  • Moderate travel required for site selection and partner engagement.
